Stop Coronary Heart Disease
with Heart Healthy Foods

Guess What!

"Intensive Lifestyle Changes Reverse the Risk of Coronary Heart Disease" published 1998

Research published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (volume 280 Number 23) describes data showing results of lifestyle changes on heart disease.

The data confirm heart disease is not required!

Although this is not the only research to tell us that heart disease responds to diet and exercise, heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States (and elsewhere).

The research tells people — you can reduce your risk of ever developing heart disease and you can significantly reverse cardiovascular damage already suffered.

But do people change diet and exercise habits?
Do they practice stress management ?
  Are they still smoking ?

Hey guys — Heart disease is not required.

A low-fat, non-smoking, active lifestyle really does reduce your chance of suffering a coronary event (heart attack!) .

A heart healthy diet based on high-fiber foods really does help lower your risk.

Heart healthy foods are high in fiber, and they may help to lower cholesterol and blood pressure — two serious symptoms that, when not controlled, can lead to chronic heart problems, like atherosclerosis, angina, heart attack, or even death.

Keep your lab results within the normal range of cholesterol levels. If results rise above normal levels, the American Heart Association (AMA) strongly suggests you change your diet to lower cholesterol and blood pressure. They recommend the D-A-S-H diet.

DASH is an eating plan that emphasizes low-fat meals based on fish or poultry along with a lot of nutritious high fiber foods: fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, seeds and nuts.
